About the writer

I'm Anja,  a registered dental hygienist and dental content writer with more than 30 years of experience in dentistry, predominantly in private periodontal practice in Australia and the United States. 

I created Perio Content Studio ™ to combine two things I genuinely love - dentistry and writing - and help dental offices communicate effectively with patients through content that's clinically informed, engaging, and easy to understand. 

 My career has allowed me to see dentistry from several perspectives - assisting clinicians, working within the dental implant industry, providing hands-on patient care, and spending years communicating complex treatment to patients.

Since 2013, I have worked in specialized private periodontal practice in Seattle, with extensive experience in periodontal therapy & perioscopy. I have accumulated more than 15,000 hours of clinical perioscopy experience, giving me a unique, detailed understanding of what is happening underneath the tissue.  

Just as importantly, years of working chairside have taught me what patients' concerns are, the questions they ask,  to explain intricate dental information in a way that makes sense, and  encourage patients to follow up with recommended treatment. 

And yes, I am a true dental nerd and proud of it! 

 I aim to engage, teach, and inspire patients to seek treatment in dental offices - by giving patients what they need - confidence in your office before they ever walk through your door.
